It's B.Y.O.C. at North Shore!

What would any event be without a chance of injury or embarrassment? B O R I N G! I mean, why else do we play sports like Ultimate Frisbee? (I've heard local knee surgeons may be a platinum sponsor this summer).  Well, there is no chance of boredom at North Shore Church's upcoming SPRING FLING taking place on Wednesday, March 12th at 6:00 pm.

A Mechanical Bull will be brought in to test the strength and stamina of those daring souls in attendance. Come watch grown men who think they are younger and stronger than they actually are be "Flung" about randomly in our gymnasium (women too, I'm sure).  It's not often that you'll get to talk about situations tied to riding a mechanical bull.

Vote for the Most Likely way Spring Fling guests will complete this statement:

"I _____ my _____ riding a Mechanical Bull at North Shore Church."
Watched / Grandma
Broke / Nail
Cried For / Mommy
Met / Soulmate
Lost / Lunch
Laughed / Socks Off
Nursed / Baby

As I stated earlier, this event is B.Y.O.C. meaning obviously Bring Your Own Chiropractor.  However, you are welcome to bring anyone's chiropractor or anyone else for that matter.  The "Fling" is open to all.

And while you are watching your friends and family get up off the mat grimacing and holding their back, or while they're telling you they'd have done better if only they'd brought a glove to wear and that you need to delete that picture off your phone, or after they've made some extra room in their stomach cause the bull spins around pretty fast, all of you can enjoy a variety of pies, as our Spring Fling will also be host to a pie baking contest.

There will be two categories of pies available that evening: 1) those being judged and 2) those for general consumption.  If you would like to bring a pie to be judged, the only rules are that you bake it yourself and that it have both crust and filling (so bread doesn't quite make the cut).  For those not baking a pie, please consider buying one and bringing it with for general consumption.  There will be at least two divisions for the pie judging, Ladies and Men.  And if I know the North Shore men like I think I do, I can say men, if you do bake a pie to be judged, you'll be the winner in your division.

Generally all ages can ride the bull, as the operator can control the aggression of the ride.  We do ask that you Register if you plan on coming to help us in preparation for the event.  Those registered will also get first opportunity on the bull!

Mark your calendars, as even though your particular poll answer may not be listed above, you'll be able to fill in the blanks somehow if you show up and maybe see others fill in theirs too.  Perhaps even "Found / Lord and Saviour", what a testimony that'd be.
